Job description

You arrive on the production floor with one goal: make outstanding quality the standard. You begin by reviewing overnight quality concerns, then move to the lab to calibrate monitoring and measuring devices, ensuring accuracy for the day’s inspections. On the line, you verify product dimensions, examine surfaces for defects like cracks, pits, and incomplete welds, and run mechanical and non-destructive tests to confirm compliance with specifications., * Drive problem-solving to cut scrap, reduce material usage, and boost capability and throughput.

  • Address daily quality questions; provide timely, informed recommendations.
  • Inspect and test product against defined parameters; verify critical dimensions and visual quality.
  • Evaluate testing, inspection, and operational procedures; create or revise quality plans and systems as needed.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues; investigate, collect data, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure process controls are in place and sufficient to meet standards.
  • Maintain accuracy and on-time inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
  • Identify, quarantine, and communicate any non-conforming product.
  • Check for surface defects (e.g., cracks, pits, incomplete welds) and dimensional conformity.
  • Lead training in quality control and operations; perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to rally a shared vision aligned to business goals and drive continuous change to meet long-term objectives.
  • Strength in diagnosing complex business/technical issues and delivering practical technical solutions.
  • Comfort interpreting regulatory requirements and technical documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organization and multi-tasking.
  • Self-starter with a history of taking initiative and following through.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety policies and procedures for plant operations.
  • Computer proficiency: Excel, Word, Outlook, and SAP.
  • Above-average math and reasoning; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Hands-on skill with micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and OD tapes; capable of mechanical testing.
  • Ability to lift product, materials, and equipment as needed; read and write in English.
  • High School diploma/GED and proven manufacturing experience., * Quality Inspection Experience

Benefits & conditions

Pay Range: $30.43 - $36.02, * $2,500 Stay Bonus ($1,250 after 6 months; $1,250 after 1 year)
