Systems Engineer (Secret Clearance)

The company is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its team in San Diego, CA. This position supports the development of advanced defense systems using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Cameo Enterprise Architecture, DOORS, Agile, and DevSecOps methodologies. The selected candidate will work across the full system lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to develop system architectures, manage requirements, perform trade studies, and deliver mission-critical capabilities., * Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo Enterprise Architecture and DOORS.

• Develop system architectures, functional models, interface definitions, and requirements.
• Perform functional analysis, requirements allocation, trade studies, verification, and validation activities.
• Translate customer requirements into detailed system specifications across the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering, logistics, specialty engineering, and IPT teams.
• Develop and maintain system models, engineering artifacts, and technical documentation.
• Participate in Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), technical reviews, and customer presentations.
• Support proposal efforts, contract documentation, and technical trade studies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or another STEM discipline with the required years of experience based on level (3-5), or equivalent Master’s/PhD experience.
• Proven experience with the systems engineering process.
• Experience in requirements development, management, analysis, verification, or validation.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP access.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with MBSE, Cameo Enterprise Architecture, DOORS, and DXL scripting.
• Experience with Agile, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Experience writing system requirements and verification plans.
• Experience supporting large, complex defense, aerospace, or spacecraft programs.
• Knowledge of SysML or UPDM modeling languages.
• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering.
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance is a plus.
• INCOSE participation or CSEP certification is preferred., * Systems Engineering: 5 years (Required)

$80 - $100 an hour - Full-time, Contract
