GIS Analyst 1

• Support land surveying activities by collecting GPS data and integrating survey results into geospatial datasets.
• Create detailed maps and visualizations using GIS software to communicate complex spatial information clearly and effectively.
• Perform GIS analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights relevant to project goals, utilizing data visualization techniques for impactful presentations.
• Manage geospatial data collection efforts, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to project standards.
• Collaborate with project teams on database management tasks, including data modeling, scripting, API integration, and relational database design.
• Contribute to project management by supporting the development of GIS workflows, drafting technical reports, and maintaining SharePoint documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Geography, Geospatial Science, Land Surveying or related fields.
• Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS or similar mapping tools; experience with cartography and mapping using GIS is highly desirable.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or CAD software for drafting and land surveying applications.
• Experience with GIS programming languages such as Python or JavaScript; understanding of APIs for data integration is a plus.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret geospatial data for meaningful insights.
• Knowledge of GPS technology and data collection methods used in land surveying projects.
• Proficiency in database management including SQL, relational databases, and developing GIS databases.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting technical information clearly.
