We are actively recruiting for a Member Relationship Consultant II Float to deliver elevated member service across multiple branch locations. In this role, you will serve as a flexible branch resource, providing coverage for staffing needs, absences, training support, and increased transaction volumes across the credit union’s designated service area. As a universal team member, the MRC II Float handles both advisory and transactional functions. This includes complex account servicing, consultative sales, consumer lending support, and teller activities. This role is ideal for a service-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic, multi-location environment and is committed to building trusted member relationships. Location & Work Setting: On-Site, Harrisonburg/JMU. Regular travel across 2 branch locations required. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM EST. Rotational Saturdays, 9 AM - 1 PM EST.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; one to two years of experience in a financial institution, member service, or customer service environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of consultative sales techniques, including asking open-ended questions, identifying needs, and recommending appropriate products and services.
- Experience performing teller and account servicing functions with accuracy, attention to balancing standards, and adherence to security and compliance requirements.
- Ability to open and maintain deposit accounts, process complex account requests, and complete account maintenance activities in compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Familiarity with consumer lending processes, including accepting applications, gathering documentation, and facilitating funding within established authority levels.
- Comfortable assisting members with digital banking services, online account access, and self-service tools.
- Working knowledge of BSA, OFAC, and consumer protection requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel preferred); ability to integrate technology into daily work processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust, resolve member concerns, and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly across multiple branch locations within the assigned service area.
