Manager, SAP Solutions Lead

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the design, development, and delivery of SAP BW/BPC solutions for Global Markup Exchange (GMX) and Finance within Pfizer’s Digital division. You will partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into scalable analytics, while guiding SAP platform modernization and S/4HANA/BW/4HANA migration efforts. You will act as the SAP subject matter expert for GMX domain knowledge and ensure data integrity across BW reporting and planning models. The role combines hands-on technical delivery with strategic collaboration to drive better financial insights and planning. You will operate in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment, shaping Compensation / Benefits * Lead end-to-end design, development, and deployment of SAP BW and BPC solutions for GMX and Finance domains * Design and maintain data ingestion layers (DataSources, ODQ, InfoPackages, DTPs) and monitor delta loads and process chains * Architect BW InfoProviders (Advanced DSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views) and implement ABAP transformation routines * Create/maintain ABAP programs and troubleshoot * Design BPC planning functions and FOX scripts; configure input-ready queries and planning sequences * Develop and optimize BW queries, AfO workbooks, and AfO templates; train end-users * Diagnose and resolve BW/BPC issues across the stack; conduct root-cause analysis * Ensure alignment with SAP S/4HANA and BW/4HANA migration roadmap and data architecture integrity * Apply SD & Finance functional knowledge to ensure GMX integration and data flows * Validate BW/BPC outputs against source S/4HANA systems for pricing, costing, and GMX GL balances * Collaborate with GMX, Finance, and Digital teams to gather and prioritize requirements * Govern delivery using SDLC, track KPIs/OKRs, coordinate testing, and enforce standards * Contribute to team communication, demos, and training; escalate risks to leadership Tasks * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related field * 4+ years SAP BW development across full delivery lifecycle; or Master’s with 2+ years; or PhD with equivalent experience * Data ingestion facilities: DataSources, ODQ, InfoPackages, DTPs, delta load management * BW modeling: Advanced DSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, ABAP transformation routines * BW/Analysis tooling: BEx, BW Modeling Tools, AfO workbooks, calculations, variables, exceptions * AfO: building and maintaining AfO templates for end-users * BPC: planning functions, FOX scripts, data manager packages, planning sequences * ABAP programming expertise; troubleshooting end-to-end * S/4HANA SD and Finance fundamentals; material master data concepts;CO-PC/FI-GL capabilities * Master data governance knowledge (company codes, cost centers, profit centers) * Strong communication and collaboration; ability to work in fast-paced environment Key requirements * 401(k) with Pfizer matching * retirement savings contribution * paid vacation * paid holidays and personal days * medical, prescription, dental, and vision coverage * life/work balance programs
