Job description

The Virginia Department of the Treasury is currently recruiting for an innovative Power Platform developer (low code) to lead and administer the modernization of our collaboration platforms, business process automation, and digital workplace technologies. This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact across an agency that serves every and locality in the Commonwealth. You’ll work directly with business leaders to modernize operations, automate manual processes, improve collaboration, and help shape the agency’s technology roadmap. What You’ll Do: Typical projects include: Design and build Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) to replace manual spreadsheets and paper processes. Designing automated workflows using Power Automate. Developing executive dashboards and analytics using Power BI. Administering SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams. Modernizing the agency’s intranet. Integrating solutions with various platforms and services Supporting implementation of a next- public website and enterprise CMS. Implementing Microsoft 365 governance and security best practices. Advising business leaders on innovative ways to leverage Microsoft technologies. Why the Treasury? You’ll join a collaborative IT team where innovation, customer service, continuous learning, and practical problem-solving are valued. What Success Looks Like: In your first year, you’ll help: Expand the agency’s use of Microsoft Power Platform. Improve collaboration through Microsoft 365. Modernize the agency’s intranet and support the next of its public website. Streamline business processes through automation. Establish governance and best practices for Microsoft’s collaboration ecosystem. Deliver solutions that provide measurable value to Treasury employees and customers. Collaborate with IT team members to maintain and enhance agency applications and services.

Requirements

Demonstrated proficiency administering and supporting SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. -Experience configuring and customizing SharePoint Online using modern site functionality, including lists/libraries, content types, site templates, permissions, term store, and governance-aligned features. -Experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Power BI. -Experience working with diverse teams to solve complex problems with technology ideally related to workflow automation and business process improvement. -Experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Graph API, Dataverse, REST APIs, HTML/CSS, and javascript. -Knowledge of Microsoft 365 best practices and governance. -Minimum of three years of experience developing Microsoft Power Platform solutions or comparable experience. Additional Considerations -Experience with enterprise Content Management Systems such as Terminalfour (T4), Composite CMS, Drupal, or similar platforms is highly desirable. -Microsoft certifications are a plus -Knowledge of Digital accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) -Experience with Snowflake or similar data warehouse platforms -Experience working with Commonwealth of Virginia or other public-sector organizations is
