Job description

This role focuses on building scalable, serverless AWS solutions, integrating AI-powered services, and developing high-performance cloud infrastructure in a collaborative research environment., + Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud applications using Python and AWS.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related technical field.
5+ years of software engineering experience with Python.
MUST be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
AWS Developer Certification (or equivalent AWS certification).
Strong experience developing applications in AWS cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with:
AWS Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS
EKS, ECS, S3, ALB
Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
Event-driven and serverless architectures
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI preferred), and cloud deployment best practices.
Knowledge of data structures, API/schema design, and distributed systems.

Preferred:

Experience working within scientific, research, life sciences, or bioinformatics environments.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and GenAI technologies.
Experience with React, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, or Java.
Experience developing applications for high-performance computing (HPC).
