The Cost & Quality and Day to Day System Integrator will manage multiple project management to ensure timely execution and delivery of product design optimization opportunities to improve the cost or/ and the quality of the product.
This is an onsite role at our Tulsa, OK location.
Maintain manufacturing productivity by resolving factory issues associated with product design in alignment with subsystem teams
Identify and capture efficiency opportunities through product design improvements
Will scope ideas and bring them to execution using the Whirlpool Product Development methodology for projects.
Acting as a central technical integrator, you will align stakeholders, clarify project ownership, drive transparent decision making, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement., * Support idea generation in workshops to develop cost pipeline
- Help scope ideas in order to understand project feasibility (technical / financial)
- Analyze SIR (Quality rates) information to generate insights on field trends and open Quality projects
- Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) data to identify cost saving opportunities and evaluate project technical/financial feasibility.
- Execute cost and quality projects following the WPD (Whirlpool product development) methodology (based on PMI)
- Perform BOM changes in Windchill / SAP
- Create work plans ( schedules) to complete projects and introduce changes into production
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders as part of the project execution (Suppliers, Procurement, Subsystems, Manufacturing, Marketing, Quality)
- Collaborate with the Subsystem team and other cross-functional teams across change management processes, including BOM and literature updates, FMEAs (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), DVP&Rs (Design Validation Plan & Report), and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Verification & Validation (V&V) teams to validate design integrity, partnering with Manufacturing Assembly to validate production processes.
- Effectively exchange critical project information with key internal and external stakeholders (Suppliers, Procurement, Subsystems, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in the development or implementation of engineering solutions in areas including cost reduction, quality improvement, implementation of new projects or new technologies
- 6+ months of experience in project management
Preferred skills and experiences
- Experience in the Home Appliance industry.
- Product development & project delivery methodology experience.
- Product parts & capital tooling tracker system experience.
- Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) knowledge.
- SAP / ERP systems experience.
- MS Office, Google Suite, Excel/Google Sheets Formulas, Charts, Macro/Scripts.
- MS Project and/or SmartSheets.
- Critical thinking and diagnostic capability in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactively take ownership of issues and drive solutions.
