Job description
TechCafeHub is seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Data Architect for a remote enterprise data modernization engagement.
The architect will join a Data Hardening team focused on refining, improving, and modernizing enterprise data capabilities, including preparing the environment to adopt and scale AI solutions.
This is a strategic enterprise architecture position. The successful candidate should combine executive presence, deep technical expertise, modern cloud platform knowledge, data governance leadership, and experience preparing enterprise data environments for analytics and AI at scale.
Requirements
Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. CPT and OPT candidates cannot be considered. Sponsorship is not available., * 15+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Platforms, or related data leadership roles
- 8+ years designing cloud-native enterprise data ecosystems
- 5+ years supporting AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics initiatives
- Experience leading or participating in architecture review boards and governance councils
- Experience supporting Fortune 500 or similarly large enterprise environments
- Strong background in data quality, data governance, and data-driven decision-making
- Demonstrated ownership of enterprise architecture standards and future-state architecture
- Strong stakeholder influence and cross-functional leadership experience
- Ability to communicate complex architecture decisions clearly to technical and executive audiences

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Master’s degree preferred
Certification
A relevant architecture, cloud, or data certification is required for client submission. Preferred certifications include:
- SnowPro Advanced Architect
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
- AWS Data Analytics Specialty
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer
- Databricks Certified Data Architect
- TOGAF
What Strong Candidates Should Demonstrate
Candidates should be able to clearly explain their architectural reasoning and business impact, including topics such as:
- Why a Data Mesh may or may not work in a particular organization
- When Snowflake may be preferable to Databricks
- How AI changes enterprise data architecture
- How organizations should structure data ownership
- How architecture decisions affect business outcomes, risk, governance, and scalability
