Job description

The IT Site Administrator is responsible for all operations and maintenance of the local area network systems, the telephone system, computer room, and the day to day operations as well as supporting all IT related equipment at the site. This includes troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software along with installation of new software packages and hardware items, ensuring proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. Maintaining and supporting the company’s IT security posture. Ability to work with users as with the other members of the Information technology department throughout the organization and at different sites. Must be professional and be able to apply technology solutions to business problems and lead IT Projects. Member of the local management team at the site.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain uninterrupted and efficient operation of the LAN, mobile computers, printers and all related hardware and software for the site.

  • Troubleshoot and repair network and PC hardware/software problems for PC’s, Laptops, printers/copiers and mobile devices for on-site and remote users.

  • Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting for remote users.

  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level when remote tools are not appropriate, including hardware repairs, software installation, delivery of peripherals, or other fixes as determined.

  • Build rapport and elicit problem details from users.

  • Add, change, and delete user accounts in accordance with the standard operating procedures. Add, change, and delete telephone access in accordance with the standard operating procedures.

  • Assist in obtaining new hardware and software as required by the site in accordance with the standard operating procedures.

  • Schedules and provides training to users about common software tools in use by Loparex

  • Maintain a computer virus/malware free site including servers, PC’s and mobile computers based at the site.

  • Provide expert assistance in matters relating to information security, providing information, training and guidance as needed. Monitors progress in the field of information security.

  • Maintain network and mobile/desktop backups

  • Maintain the inventory of the site hardware and software in an organized manner in accordance with the standard operating procedures., * Assist in maintaining the operation of the LAN wiring, all related network equipment, wireless access points and computer room for environmental conditions, fire protections, and electrical connections with UPS systems.

  • Monitor and assist in troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades to the sites wide area network connection (WAN).

  • Team-player, work closely with the Regional IT Managers, Operations, and other IT team members. Able to work independent, with little to no supervision.

  • Additional projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting preferred but not required.

  • ERP support and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with large scale system deployments and integrations.

  • Project Management experience including ability to work within timelines and deadlines while adhering to lean budgetary constraints.

  • Strong documentation skills required., Associate’s degree in computer science or management information preferred with 3 years of PC, Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, and older versions. Desktop and software support experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Accustomed to working in a manufacturing environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of PC’s, Servers, Windows OS, Linux

  • Knowledge in Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, Office 365 experience, MS Teams

  • Hands-on experience with scan-guns, PLCs, label printers, and PCs connected to the production line

  • Hands-on experience with switches, routers, and access points, Cisco Meraki

  • IT certification(s) preferred, such as Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL, AWS, Azure, etc.

  • Good knowledge in LAN, WAN, SDWAN, Internet, and voice communication protocols and technologies, standards, and security

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly and non-technical language

  • Execute and maintain agreed upon IT standards and processes

  • Experience and knowledge in VMWare and Commvault

  • Performs sedentary work, occasionally lifting equipment such as servers, sitting, walking, and standing.

$41.00 - $43.00 / hr life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, long term disability, 401(k) United States, Wisconsin, Hammond, Day Shift Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, includes hour lunch paid if staying on campus

Pay Rate: $41.00 - $43.00 hourly, * Comprehensive benefit plan, including health, dental, vision. Eligibility begins the first day of the month following date of hire.
