Job description

Sowing Seeds Health, Inc. is seeking an IT Specialist to provide day-to-day technical support and backup coverage for important reporting and technology-related responsibilities.

The position will primarily support staff with IT needs, assist with recurring operational reports, and help maintain continuity when the IT Manager is unavailable. The role will also have opportunities to assist with data analysis, Microsoft Power Platform solutions, software improvements, and future automation projects.

The ideal candidate is comfortable troubleshooting technology issues, working with data, learning new systems, and supporting employees with different levels of technical experience., IT Support & Administration

  • Provide technical support for laptops, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, phones, and other business technology.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, system access, and device preparation.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, account access, and basic connectivity issues.
  • Assist with maintaining user accounts, permissions, security groups, and system access.
  • Maintain clear documentation for recurring IT procedures and system-related tasks.
  • Provide backup IT coverage when the IT Manager is unavailable.
  • Assist with future technology deployments, including tablets, kiosks, or other devices used at community or partner locations.

Reporting & Operational Support

  • Learn and provide backup support for important recurring reports and data submissions.
  • Assist with required operational, program, and health-plan reporting.
  • Review report data for completeness, accuracy, and inconsistencies before submission.
  • Help maintain reporting procedures, schedules, and documentation so critical reports can continue to be completed when primary staff members are unavailable.
  • Work with operational staff to identify and resolve reporting or data-related issues.

Software, Automation & Data Projects

  • Assist with maintaining and improving internal Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, SharePoint Lists, and related Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Help troubleshoot existing internal applications and automated workflows.
  • Assist with developing dashboards, reports, and workflow automation that reduce manual work and improve business processes.
  • Support future automation of management and supervisor reporting.
  • Assist with projects involving operational tracking, authorization time frames, and other important performance measures.
  • Support future data-sharing or system-integration projects with organizational partners.

Data Analysis & Quality Review

  • Assist with reviewing clinical and operational data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Identify missing, duplicate, inconsistent, or potentially incorrect records.
  • Assist with audits and quality-control reviews of organizational data.
  • Prepare Excel reports, summaries, and basic data analyses as requested.
  • Support management and operational teams with data used for decision-making and performance monitoring.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or current enrollment in a degree program, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience providing technical support in a professional, academic, or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Experience working with Excel and organizing or analyzing data.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing reports and organizational data.
  • Ability to document processes clearly and follow established procedures.
  • Ability to learn new software platforms and business processes quickly.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to assist users with different levels of technical experience.

Preferred Technical Experience

Experience with one or more of the following is helpful but not required:

  • Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Power BI or other data visualization tools
  • SharePoint, Dataverse, or Microsoft 365 administration
  • SQL, databases, or data management
  • Programming or scripting
  • Workflow automation
  • IT hardware and laptop troubleshooting
  • User account and access management

The individual should be dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable gradually taking responsibility for recurring IT and reporting tasks. As the organization grows, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities in software development, data analysis, automation, and other technology initiatives.
