Job description

This is a one-year term position that supports the Health Service IT with the clinical and administrative systems used by health service staff. The Health Service IT Assistant supports the Health Service Systems Administrator by acting as a departmental customer service agent supporting staff needs through several large projects over the next year including inventory management, device setup, report creation, and troubleshooting issues., Employment in this position is contingent upon consent to and successful completion of a pre-employment background check, which may include a criminal background check, reference checks, verification of work history, conduct review, and verification of any required academic credentials, licenses, and/or certifications, with results acceptable to Dartmouth College. Assists with setting up billable services in the PNC Billing module and assists in the creation and establishment of a waiver process for DSGHP through PNC Billing. Percentage Of Time 50%, Troubleshoots and addresses issues reported by staff and campus services that affect DSHS systems. (Closely screens Health Services IT and individual campus email accounts as well as campus IT ticketing system for Health Services issues.) Percentage Of Time 20%, Manages Health Services computer inventory through the Campus CAP program. This includes ordering and configuring desktops/laptops and monitors. Percentage Of Time 20%, Manages user account process including the updating and creation of PNC user accounts, EDH access and Castries configuration. Percentage Of Time 10% -

Experience

Preferred Qualifications Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience acting as support for an electronic medical records system., * At least two years of experience with complex administrative information systems, preferably in a college or university healthcare setting., * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
