Linux Test Automation Technical Leader

• Lead the development of automated test strategies and test cases for eLxr to support Wind River’s growth in new embedded and enterprise market segments.
• Drive improvements to features, tools, workflows, and automation processes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members.
• Contribute ideas and solutions for product enhancements and technical iterations.
• Collaborate effectively with global software engineering teams across multiple time zones.

• BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, verification, and validation.
• Strong programming skills in C, Python (including design patterns), Go, and familiarity with Debian fundamentals.
• Experience developing automation frameworks or Test Manager solutions.
• Experience working with emulators and virtualized test environments.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tooling.
• Ability to create test cases from high-level and low-level requirements, including understanding of test input variations.
• Experience using automation frameworks and tools such as LAVA, PyTest, Git, Jira, and Linux-based development environments.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis - without requirement for any type of visa sponsorship/transfer, now, or at any time in future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
• Must be a local resident of Greater Austin, TX or willing to relocate.

Good to Have (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience working with AWS or other cloud environments.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• In-depth Linux knowledge, including kernel concepts and system internals.
• Experience contributing to or testing open-source projects.
