Job description
- Lead the development of automated test strategies and test cases for eLxr to support Wind River’s growth in new embedded and enterprise market segments.
- Drive improvements to features, tools, workflows, and automation processes.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members.
- Contribute ideas and solutions for product enhancements and technical iterations.
- Collaborate effectively with global software engineering teams across multiple time zones.
Requirements
- BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, verification, and validation.
- Strong programming skills in C, Python (including design patterns), Go, and familiarity with Debian fundamentals.
- Experience developing automation frameworks or Test Manager solutions.
- Experience working with emulators and virtualized test environments.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tooling.
- Ability to create test cases from high-level and low-level requirements, including understanding of test input variations.
- Experience using automation frameworks and tools such as LAVA, PyTest, Git, Jira, and Linux-based development environments.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis - without requirement for any type of visa sponsorship/transfer, now, or at any time in future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
- Must be a local resident of Greater Austin, TX or willing to relocate.
Good to Have (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience working with AWS or other cloud environments.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- In-depth Linux knowledge, including kernel concepts and system internals.
- Experience contributing to or testing open-source projects.
