Job description

We are currently hiring an ERP/ IS Specialist to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our computer systems and software.

The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to research, configure, deploy and implement technological strategic systems.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving application software issues, working with the Network Administrator implementing security measures, and proactively optimizing system performance.

Assisting the administrator in the troubleshooting and deployment of software and peripherals.

Proficiency in SQL Server query development, Crystal Reports development and familiarity with Fedora Linux operating systems is expected. We utilize both Windows and Fedora servers.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and update software updates in a timely manner
  • Research and implement technological strategic solutions
  • Work independently as well as collaborating with internal and external partners to create a positive, productive work environment
  • Maintain all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure
  • Investigate and resolve issues reported by end users
  • Specify system requirements and design solutions
  • Assist in troubleshooting and/or deployment of peripheral devices

Requirements

  • Our primary E.R.P. system is INFOR Visual Manufacturing, experience in running and maintaining Visual would be a key skill
  • A deep knowledge of SQL Server and the ability to write SQL scripts that can be used to populate Crystal Reports and MS Excel spreadsheets is another primary skill
  • Basic knowledge of end user hardware and Windows OS
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and abilities to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing and multitasking.
  • Excellent communications skills in working with associates and vendor technical support staff
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent related experience
