Network Administrator, Senior -TENM

CONTRACT PENDING AWARDAdministers design, organization, and implementation of network, and heads technical support staff whomanage and maintain hubs, servers, and routers.Duties and Responsibilities* Utilizes knowledge and understanding of both networking and telecommunications theory andpractice* Communicates with users, technical teams, and vendors on new technology and system upgradesand to determine software and hardware installation requirements* Determines equipment which meets establishment requirements, utilizing information from readingtechnical manuals and brochures* Assists in presenting recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software, andtelecommunication equipment* Develops and monitors security procedures to safeguard systems from physical harm, viruses,unauthorized users, and damage to data* Analyzes traffic and workload for optimum network performance to ensure organization’s objectivesare met* Develops and writes procedures for installation, use, and solving problems of communicationshardware and software* Prepares charts and diagrams to explain network operation and to train managers and others inproper use* Organizes training programs and prepares checklists and processes for help desk* Oversees or assist in installation of communications hardware* Performs minor equipment repair * Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications* BA/BS degree (8+ additional years of experience in lieu of the degree is acceptable) * 10+ years of experience * CompTIA: Security+ CE * Understanding of LANs, WANs, Virtual Private Networks, and telecommunications systems* Knowledge of cybersecurity components including firewalls, access control, and security measures* Proficiency with Cisco and Microsoft technologies, network hardware configuration, and operatingsystems* Familiarity with cloud computing, software development concepts, and automation tool* Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and maintain network performancePhysical Qualifications

• The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment * Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time* Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time* Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs. unassisted* Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilities
