Senior Software Engineer, Web - 1099 Contract

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer, Web to join a leading U.S.-based organization. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and Python. You will independently deliver full-stack features, support production applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable, high-quality software solutions.

This position is primarily remote; however, occasional onsite visits to the Rochester, Minnesota office will be required. Candidates must be currently located in the United States and be able to travel to the office when needed., * Design, develop, and maintain web applications using React, TypeScript, and Python.

• Deliver full-stack features from design through deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure application reliability.
• Support and maintain existing production applications.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and infrastructure teams.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and endpoint teams to support application performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following software engineering best practices.

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Solid understanding of browser-based web applications and modern web technologies.
• Proven ability to independently design, develop, test, and deliver software solutions.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools as part of the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in healthcare or clinical software development is a plus.
