Job description

The ERP Implementation Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful deployment of enterprise resource planning (ERP) initiatives across the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this position maintains a strong dotted-line relationship with the MIS & Digital Transformation (DX) Senior Manager and works in close partnership to support the Company’s digital transformation strategy and enterprise technology initiatives.

This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors, ensuring ERP projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ERP Implementation Project Manager provides leadership throughout all phases of ERP implementation, including project planning, requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, training, deployment, and post-implementation support. The position combines project management expertise, business process knowledge, change management leadership, and technical acumen to drive operational efficiencies and support the Company’s long-term strategic objectives.

As an exempt professional, this position exercises independent judgment and discretion in managing projects, recommending process improvements, resolving implementation challenges, and coordinating cross-functional resources to achieve project goals., ERP Project Leadership

  • Lead full-cycle ERP implementation projects from discovery and planning through go-live and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Develop project charters, implementation roadmaps, milestones, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Manage project scope, deliverables, schedules, risks, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Finance, Accounting, Operations, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, Quality Assurance, and Information Technology.
  • Drive alignment between business objectives and ERP system functionality.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Partner closely with the MIS & DX Senior Manager to align ERP initiatives with the Company’s technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity standards, and digital transformation roadmap.

Project Management & Governance

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, Gantt charts, status reports, action logs, and risk registers.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings and provide regular updates to executive stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project budgets and vendor deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with project governance standards, documentation requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Track project performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact among business units, technical teams, consultants, and ERP vendors.
  • Facilitate workshops, business process reviews, requirements-gathering sessions, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Develop executive presentations and project status reports.
  • Communicate project goals, milestones, risks, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration and consensus among departments impacted by ERP initiatives.

System Configuration, Integration & Data Management

  • Oversee ERP configuration activities and ensure alignment with operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with the MIS & DX Senior Manager and technical teams regarding system integrations, workflows, reporting requirements, and data architecture.
  • Support data migration, cleansing, validation, and testing efforts.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and security across ERP modules.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and issue resolution activities.

Change Management & Training

  • Develop and execute change management strategies that support system adoption and user engagement.
  • Create training materials, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead training sessions and provide system support during implementation and post-go-live phases.
  • Evaluate user feedback and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Promote best practices and standardized business processes throughout the organization.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to optimize business processes and system functionality.
  • Recommend enhancements and improvements that increase operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Stay informed of ERP technology trends, emerging solutions, and industry best practices.
  • Support future system upgrades, enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives., * Professional office environment with extensive computer usage.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Frequent interaction with employees at all organizational levels and external business partners.
  • Occasional travel required to support implementation activities, training programs, vendor meetings, and site rollouts.
  • May require flexibility in working hours during system testing, cutover, implementation, and go-live periods.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of project management experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience leading ERP implementation, enterprise systems, or digital transformation projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle ERP implementations and large-scale business system deployments.
  • Strong understanding of finance, accounting, supply chain, manufacturing, inventory management, procurement, and human resources business processes.
  • Strong project planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project or similar project management tools.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills in English, with the ability to lead meetings, facilitate discussions, and present information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization., * Project Management Professional (PMP), CBAP, Agile, Scrum, or comparable professional certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Infor, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Experience within food manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation.
  • Frequent use of computers, software applications, and virtual communication platforms.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual meetings.
  • Ability to review and analyze reports, documentation, and technical information.
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to travel between company locations, training sites, and vendor facilities as needed.
