Job description
Experteer Overview In this role you lead hands-on software delivery for a DOJ cloud-based evidence management platform. You will guide an Agile team, own technical delivery from sprint planning to release, and ensure secure, compliant development. You translate architecture into actionable plans, manage risks, and drive high-quality, scalable services around a FedRAMP High SaaS platform. This is a mission-focused opportunity to impact federal eDiscovery and evidence management with modern cloud-native engineering. Compensation / Benefits * Lead a development team through sprint planning, backlog refinement, code review, and delivery while remaining hands-on in design and development * Build and maintain custom services around the core SaaS platform, including data export, adapters, analytics, and production-tracking synchronization * Implement integrations with enterprise COTS systems via REST APIs and event-driven patterns * Establish and enforce engineering standards: secure coding, peer review, automated tests, and CI/CD discipline * Manage release execution: regression testing, deployment planning, rollback procedures, and change control * Translate solution architecture into implementation plans; estimate effort and report progress, risks, and issues * Author and maintain the Software Development Plan, technical docs, and developer training materials * Triage and resolve defects; drive root-cause analysis and corrective action for production issues Tasks * 15 years of software development experience * At least 3 years leading development teams or as technical lead * Strong backend and API development skills (Python, Java, or Node.js) with REST API design * Experience deploying cloud-native services on AWS * CI/CD tooling, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices (SAST/DAST, dependency scanning) * Agile/Scrum delivery experience with sprint leadership and stakeholder reporting * Experience integrating with enterprise COTS via APIs * U.S. citizenship and DOJ High-Risk Public Trust (Tier 4) eligibility * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field Key requirements *
