Job description

This role is for an ETL Migration Engineer focused on modernizing legacy data integration platforms, primarily migrating Informatica-based ETL workflows to modern cloud-native or open-source ETL solutions such as SnapLogic, Airflow, dbt, or similar technologies. The position works within a Data Integration Engineering team responsible for analyzing existing ETL architectures, documenting workflows, creating migration artifacts, and translating legacy ETL logic into target-platform solutions. The engineer will collaborate with architecture, data engineering, and business teams to define migration strategies, sequencing, and priorities while leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or DevAssist to accelerate migration efforts and identify reusable patterns. Strong experience with Informatica development or administration is required, along with hands-on expertise in ETL migration programs and data integration best practices.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has experience with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or OpenTofu, and DevOps tools such as Jenkins. Strong automation skills using Python, Java, Groovy, APIs, and shell scripting are essential for streamlining migration and operational processes. Additional responsibilities include supporting deployment and release management activities, troubleshooting production issues, and working with serverless architectures. This role requires excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, along with experience supporting enterprise-scale data integration environments and modernization initiatives. Must Have:

  • ETL migration experience moving legacy ETL processes from one ETL vendor tool to another ETL vendor tool. (Ideal candidate is migrating Informatica to another vendor, Snaplogic, Airflow, DBT, opensource)
  • Proven informatica knowledge (administrator or developer)
  • Kubernetes
  • Dev assist tools (Co-pilot, etc)
  • AWS and Azure cloud
  • Python scripting and automation experience
