Job description

The IoT Connectivity Platform Administrator is responsible for daily administration of the customer’s IoT SIM and device estate currently within and being added to the TEAL Aurora Connectivity Management Platform, including provisioning, lifecycle changes, monitoring, and issue resolution. The role provides operational oversight, enforces governance and standards, and serves as a primary point of contact for end users and customer stakeholders on platform-related activities., Platform & SIM Administration

  • Provision new eSIMs/SIM profiles and associate them to devices in the TEAL platform according to defined workflows and approval processes.
  • Execute and track lifecycle actions: activations, suspensions, reactivations, plan changes, deactivations, and deletions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of active, suspended, and deactivated SIMs/devices, ensuring data integrity across TEAL and the customer’s internal systems.
  • Configure and maintain standardized profiles, rules, and policies in the platform (naming conventions, tagging, alert thresholds, usage rules).

Operational Monitoring & Optimization

  • Monitor dashboards and alerts for abnormal usage, connectivity failures, or dormant devices; investigate and drive corrective action.
  • Run regular usage and performance reports (e.g., top data users, inactive lines, roaming behavior) and flag optimization opportunities to the customer (e.g., rate plan or profile changes, suspension candidates).
  • Support cost-control processes by applying rules, caps, and policies in the platform to prevent overages where supported.

End-User & Stakeholder Support

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for customer stakeholders and internal teams for TEAL-related questions and requests.
  • Fulfill end-user and business unit requests for new connections, changes, and disconnects (MACD) in line with SLAs.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues in coordination with device OEMs, carriers (if applicable), and TEAL support, including Tier 2 triage and escalation.
  • Provide basic “how-to” guidance to end users and internal support teams on using the platform or submitting requests.

Governance, Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for provisioning, troubleshooting, and standard changes.
  • Support monthly/quarterly reporting to the customer: inventory, usage, incident trends, and optimization recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with the customer’s security, data privacy, and audit requirements for access control, logging, and change history.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process bottlenecks or recurring issues and propose automation or workflow improvements.
  • Track TEAL platform enhancements and help the customer adopt new capabilities that improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Mobile device management (MDM/EMM/UEM) administration
  • IoT connectivity / SIM management
  • Telecom wireless carrier, mobility operations, or managed mobility services
  • Hands-on experience with a device management, connectivity management, or similar SaaS admin console (e.g., MDM, carrier portals, IoT connectivity platforms).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for connectivity, SIM/eSIM behavior, and basic network issues.
  • Intermediate Excel or reporting skills; ability to analyze usage data and prepare customer-facing reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable interacting with both end users and technical teams., * Prior experience with TEAL Aurora or other global IoT connectivity management platforms.
  • Experience working with large enterprises, especially regulated industries (finance, healthcare, industrial).
  • Familiarity with APIs, scripting, or automation for bulk provisioning and data extraction (e.g., Python, CSV/API workflows).

Benefits & conditions

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
