Collaborate closely with Electrical, Firmware, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams throughout product development and NPI phases. Provide Design-for-Test (DFT) feedback to engineering teams to improve manufacturability, diagnosability, and test coverage. Manage external vendors for test fixture development, test equipment integration, and deployment activities. Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for manufacturing test equipment. Develop and document robust, scalable, and maintainable manufacturing test processes with high uptime and operational reliability. Support NPI builds, failure analysis, root cause investigations, and manufacturing ramp activities. Drive continuous improvements in test architecture, automation, diagnostics, and manufacturing efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering within PCBA and Top-Level Assembly (TLA) environments. Strong hands-on experience developing automated test systems using NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand. (CLD/CLA certification is a plus.) Strong understanding of embedded and manufacturing communication protocols, including CAN, CAN-FD, SPI, I2C, IsoSPI, Modbus RTU, Ethernet/IP, and TCP/IP. Deep understanding of automated test instrumentation, including DAQs, power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and electronic loads. Experience developing test coverage strategies and fault detection methodologies for manufacturing environments. Experience integrating manufacturing test systems with MES and production databases using SQL, JSON, XML, or Protobuf. Familiarity with manufacturing inspection technologies such as AOI, AXI (X-Ray), ICT and Flying Probe is a plus. Experience with Python for automation, scripting, or data analysis is a plus. Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or MSA methodologies is a plus. Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally to support vendor integration, validation, and NPI activities.
