Requirements

Everforth ECS seeks a dynamic and experienced Mid/Senior Full Stack Developer to provide solution engineering, design, and development services for our national security client. This role will focus primarily on a PowerShell- and Rego-based open source tool used to assess Microsoft 365 security configurations against federal baselines, with the flexibility to support related tooling for other cloud productivity platforms and infrastructure automation as needed. The tool supports continuous federal compliance reporting and has direct, measurable impact on the security posture of the federal enterprise. We are seeking a problem solver, who enjoys the challenge of tackling technical tasks and problems creatively and communally. A strong desire and aptitude for learning is a must with a proven ability to adapt and drive change - our solution and its underlying baselines are rapidly evolving, along with new requirements, technologies and the threat landscape. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a solid understanding of application architecture and security tooling design, with experience across the full lifecycle of developing, testing, and supporting security assessment tooling, including SecDevOps and the integration of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services.

  • Be experienced writing well-structured, well-tested code using coding best practices, ideally including PowerShell module development and/or declarative policy-as-code such as Rego/OPA.

  • Proactively seek opportunities to define and improve development processes, testing practices, and contributor workflows in a public, open source GitHub environment.

  • Provide thought leadership and influence through effective communication and consultative, analytical, organizational, and design skills, including within the public open source contributor community.

  • Bring exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, able to work effectively with fellow developers, agency stakeholders, and public contributors alike.

Salary Range: $155,000- $185,000

General Description of Benefits Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

  • Bachelors Degree in computer science, information systems management, engineering, or other relevant discipline.

  • 7+ years experience using Agile and SecDevOps practices and tools to iteratively and securely deliver production software.

  • 3+ years experience leading technical analysis and solution development efforts, including evaluating new methodologies and technologies, and making recommendations that meet requirements and optimally deliver technical capabilities (reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability, security, usability) on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.

  • 3+ years experience developing and maintaining PowerShell modules and/or command-line tooling, including experience with structured testing frameworks such as Pester.

  • Experience with declarative policy-as-code, such as Open Policy Agent (OPA) and Rego, or a demonstrated ability to learn a declarative policy language quickly.

  • 5+ years experience designing and implementing solutions to include consideration of Federal Security requirements (i.e. compliance with Federal ATO requirements across all security domains).

  • Experience with Git, SVN, or other version control systems.

  • Deep experience with the following is required:

  • PowerShell

  • Experience with the following is a plus, particularly for contributors who may flex into supporting related tooling for other cloud platforms or infrastructure automation:

  • Python

  • Terraform

  • Experience with the Microsoft Graph API or other REST-based integrations with Microsoft 365 services.

  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA/Confluence and/or other Project Organization and Team Collaboration platforms.
