Job description

  • Facilitate Assessment and Authorization efforts to support the mission defense team.
  • Conduct active and passive Defensive Cyber Operations for In-House-Data-Management (DCO-IDM) to monitor, audit, detect, report, analyze, and mitigate threats.
  • Support the development and management of cybersecurity policy, programs, and compliance.
  • Implement a Computer Network Defense (CND) team to respond to computer security incidents.
  • Review and validate System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) forms to enforce compliance with regulations.
  • Work with entities for firewall rule changes and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) waivers.
  • Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of information systems to ensure compliance with the security authorization package.
  • Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and assist with the implementation of countermeasures.
  • Conduct security impact analysis activities on all configuration management changes.

Requirements

Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Education: A bachelor’s degree is required. Additional years of applicable experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Experience: 0-3 years of prior relevant experience in cyber security. Candidates should understand the difference between IT support and cyber security.

Technical Skills: Experience with Active Directory is required.

Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE or a higher DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification is required.
