Job description

Dexis is seeking a Data Collection Manager to support a large-scale Army test and evaluation program. The project provides data collection, technical writing, computer operations, range scheduling, and administrative support services necessary to execute the government’s test mission. Support encompasses testing of a wide variety of automotive, combat, electronic, general equipment, and ordnance materiel, with services including data collection and coordination, data compilation and processing, development and management of data collection forms, test monitoring, technical writing and editorial review, reporting, data and software administration, range scheduling, and related operational support.

The Data Collection Manager will manage the administrative and technical activities of data collection, computer operations, and range scheduling personnel. The Data Collection Manager will oversee recruitment, hiring, training, workforce planning, resource availability, and data quality, and will serve as Deputy to the Program Manager.

Work will be performed primarily onsite in Aberdeen, Maryland, with travel to other locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) as required by mission needs. This position is contingent upon contract award., * Manage the administrative and technical activities of data collection, computer operations, and range scheduling personnel.

  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and training to ensure qualified resources are available to meet government requirements and execute workload.
  • Collaborate with government personnel on long-range workforce planning, including staffing, training, assignments, and resource availability.
  • Provide leadership, technical advice, and assistance to personnel supporting data collection, computer operations, and range scheduling activities.
  • Ensure test data meet project requirements and government standards for quality assurance, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Counsel employees on administrative and technical matters.
  • Identify complex problems involving data collection techniques and staffing resources and recommend solutions.
  • Serve as Deputy to the Program Manager.

Requirements

  • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher in each individual discipline of math and science and a GPA of 3.0 or higher in high school English or a GPA of 2.5 or higher in college English from an accredited high school or university. The minimum high school diploma requirement will not be waived for an equivalency degree.
  • Must meet one of the following education and experience combinations: (1) Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or technology discipline and five (5) years of experience performing RAM/ILS or similar data collection involving military or nonmilitary equipment and associated maintenance concepts; (2) Associate’s degree in a technical area and seven (7) years of experience performing data collection involving military or nonmilitary equipment and associated maintenance concepts; or (3) nine (9) years of experience performing RAM/ILS or similar data collection involving military or nonmilitary equipment and associated maintenance concepts.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in the same or a similar discipline. Supervisory experience must include responsibility and authority to hire, direct, assign, promote, reward, transfer, discipline, or remove employees; address employee grievances; or effectively recommend such actions using independent judgment.
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance.
  • Must possess a high school diploma.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office software.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned functions, which may include working in extreme heat or cold, high humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, at heights, and walking distances over unimproved terrain while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be available to support work outside normal duty hours when required by mission needs.
  • Must be willing and able to travel within CONUS and OCONUS as required.
