With the best talent, equipment, and technology in the industry, K-Five is a world-class place to grow your career and see the impact of your work in Chicagoland and beyond., The Fleet Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all maintenance management systems, processes, and technologies for K-Five Shop’s equipment fleet. This role ensures maximum equipment uptime, cost efficiency, and operational excellence through effective system implementation, data management, and continuous improvement initiatives., * Develop and manage the preventive maintenance program within CMMS (B2W), ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications, regulatory requirements, and related communications.

  • Oversee FleetWatcher telematics system implementation, configuration, and optimization while ensuring accurate data entry and reporting for physical assets
  • Manage WearCheck fluid analysis program, vendor relationships, and sample transfers to provide actionable fleet health data to shop leadership
  • Administer B2W fleet maintenance software, including work order processes, equipment warranty programs, and ownership data integrity
  • Maintain documentation and schedules for equipment certifications (crane inspections, torque tools) and State of Illinois Safety Lane Program
  • Collaborate with Parts/Inventory teams on filter procurement and maintenance supply needs to support preventive maintenance schedules
  • Generate equipment reports on utilization, cost analyses, and maintenance records to support fleet planning and budgeting decisions
  • Recommend new technologies and tools to improve operations and support equipment acquisition decisions with lifecycle cost analysis
  • Train maintenance staff on system usage, manage diagnostic tools and software, and provide technical troubleshooting for system users
  • Develop and maintain maintenance support documents and standardized processes to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance

Requirements

  • Education: High School Degree or GED equivalent is required
  • Education (Preferred): Associates or higher from an accredited college or university

  • 3+ years of experience with CMMS systems (i.e. B2W), maintenance operations, or equipment management
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills with ability to train and support teams
  • Understanding of heavy equipment maintenance principles and practices
  • Experience in construction equipment or heavy machinery industries
  • Knowledge of telematics systems and IoT equipment monitoring

Benefits & conditions

This position is primarily office-based at K-Five Shop facilities with regular visits to maintenance shops, equipment yards, and construction sites. The role requires computer work, system management, and collaboration with field personnel.
