production support to the operations department.Creates screenshots or renderings as requested by Sales, Marketing, Engineering or Operations for initial customer approval and feedback.Hands-on operations & sales support including, but not limited to: tool design, manufacturing/fabrication sequencing, shop floor product review and manufacturing concerns & investigations.Designs for manufacturability while understanding our machine and material capabilities and utilizes that knowledge to design for cost effective manufacturing processes.Provides guidance and technical assistance to design staff.Supplier Collaboration: ability to search for suppliers, discuss design projects and understand pricing structures of new product development.Reinforces Jtec Core Values within the departmentCompletes other jobs or duties as directed by the Engineering Supervisor.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field orAssociate’s degree in engineering or related field with 5+yrs experience3D Design ExperienceTechnologyPTC Creo Parametric / ProEngineerWindows PC proficiencyMicrosoft office suite experiencePhysical requirementsMust be able to move about the assigned areaJob involves working from a seated position for long periods (8-10 hrs)Must be able to position self to inspect products and equipment at ground levelMust be able to move products or equipment weighing up to 10 lbsMust occasionally be able to work in safety sensitive role, fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of drugs or alcohol, including prescribed or over the counter drugs or other substances which may alter job performance during working times (e.g., drowsiness, impaired reflexes or reaction time, lack of concentration, etc.).
