IT Operations Engineer

Experteer Overview As an IT Operations Engineer at SpaceX, you will drive technology and process solutions to support our multi-planetary mission. You will steer cross-functional projects, implement operational improvements, and build reusable tools and dashboards that streamline IT work. Compensation / Benefits * Distill vague problems into clear requirements and actionable plans with IT teams * Lead meetings and align stakeholders across multiple concurrent projects * Create and maintain auto-updating project management tools, dashboards, and automated reports using AI-assisted software * Deliver concise executive status updates on project progress, risks, budget health, and opportunities * Identify recurring operational challenges and implement practical improvements with stakeholder buy-in * Provide analytical insight and storytelling through data visualization to inform decisions Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline; 3+ years leading cross-functional technical projects or 5+ years without a degree * Proven ability to lead cross-functional efforts and manage stakeholders * Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills * Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences * Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, Teams) * Experience building or automating project tools, dashboards, and reporting; AI tooling experience is a plus * Familiarity with PMP, Agile/Scrum, Lean or Six Sigma Key requirements *
