Job description
Senior Systems Administrator to join our high-performing team, supporting our Intelligence Community customer. In this mission-critical role, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and enhancing the application ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of systems that directly enable intelligence operations., Run the environment. Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Windows Server and RHEL across dev, test, staging, and production.
- Keep it healthy. Monitor performance and availability, troubleshoot complex OS and application issues, lead root cause analysis when something breaks.
- Automate the repetitive parts. Build and maintain PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripts that cut manual effort out of daily operations.
- Stay accredited. Implement and sustain STIG compliance, remediate vulnerabilities alongside the security team, and support RMF accreditation activities.
- Own the infrastructure fundamentals. Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, VMware vSphere, backup and disaster recovery.
- Work directly with the customer. Coordinate maintenance windows, respond to operational tasking, and document what you build so the next person isn’t guessing.
You’ll participate in an on-call rotation. Maintenance windows sometimes fall outside business hours. That’s the job at this level.
Requirements
Active TS/SCI and the ability to successfully pass a polygraph examination. US citizenship required per contract.
Experience: 8+ years of enterprise systems administration, including mission-critical DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
Technical depth in:
- Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- VMware vSphere
- Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy
- Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- STIG implementation and RMF security controls, * Master’s (Preferred)
Experience:
- DevOps: 5 years (Required)
- Linux: 5 years (Required)
Security clearance:
- Top Secret (Required)
