Firmware Technician

Your day-to-day will involve updating boards to the latest firmware, assembling product, running functionality tests, logging data, and packaging the approved units. If you prefer hands-on, steady work where you can follow a clear standard operating procedure (SOP) and take pride in consistent, accurate results, this is the job for you., * Firmware Flashing: Connect IoT boards and remotes to a PC and run command-line scripts to load the latest software updates.

• Soak Testing & Bench QA: Hook up boards to 12V test benches, start long-term stress tests, and monitor the hardware for any faults, resets, or errors.
• System Assembly: Work closely with our production specialists to learn our systems inside and out, assisting with the physical assembly and wiring of our heating kits and components.
• Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately log test results, serial logs, and pass/fail metrics into spreadsheets or our tracking system.
• Final Packaging: Once a board or remote passes all quality checks, carefully package the product so it is ready for inventory and shipping.
• Bench Maintenance: Keep test harnesses, 12V wiring, tools, and your workstation organized and in good working order.

We are seeking an experienced Firmware technician to join our team who can multitask. This job entails computer programming skills and will support all aspects of our operations, including component production. The job will include PCB programming and CAN-bus applications. We need someone who pays attention to detail and accuracy, has good communication skills, and has some mechanical knowledge., * You are highly detail-oriented and take pride in following a 20-step process exactly the same way every single time.

• You have basic computer skills; if we give you a set of instructions, you can confidently open a terminal, run a script, and move files around a folder system.
• You know how to use a multimeter to check for voltage and continuity (or you are mechanically inclined and eager to learn).
• You enjoy hands-on work and are comfortable troubleshooting 12V physical connections on a test bench.
• You’ve ever tinkered with an Arduino, rooted an Android, or successfully modded a video game console just to see if you could.
• You enjoy breaking things logically and documenting exactly how you did it so our engineers can fix it.
