Senior Backend Developer-Scala/Akka

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Scala and functional programming principles.
• Build concurrent, reactive applications using Akka, Actor-based concurrency, and reactive programming models.
• Design and implement CQRS and event-driven architectures.
• Develop and optimize database queries across PostgreSQL and Cassandra/AWS Keyspaces.
• Build APIs supporting complex JSON payloads and high-volume transactions.
• Develop unit and integration tests validating end-to-end API responses and workflows.
• Develop and deploy containerized microservices using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate through GitHub for source control, code reviews, issue tracking, and planning.

We are seeking a Senior Back End Web Developer with 8+ years of professional backend development experience to design, build, and optimize scalable, event-driven backend applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Scala, Akka, CQRS/event-driven architecture, PostgreSQL, Cassandra/AWS Keyspaces, APIs, and containerized microservices. Production experience developing backend applications in Scala is mandatory., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required; Master’s preferred.

• 8+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong production experience developing application/backend systems using Scala.
• Hands-on experience with Akka, actor-based concurrency, and reactive programming.
• Experience implementing CQRS and event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience designing and developing production-grade APIs and automated tests.
