Job description
We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The ESB / Middleware Administrator provides infrastructure support for CA servers, storage platforms, systems, networking equipment, and hosted systems at DoS facilities both domestically and overseas., * You will be part of the customer Infrastructure Support Team.
- You will be required to deliver comprehensive technical support for all customer global infrastructure, including coordination with Post local IT staff and cloud service providers.
- You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) environment, ensuring optimal integration and performance.
- You are also responsible for supporting integration of database service with partner agencies and internal applications, including managing middleware and messaging queues (e.g., Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) infrastructure).
- Additionally, you will execute transitions to hybrid or multi-cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) to improve scalability, efficiency, and compliance with DoS policies.
- You will maintain security, load balancing, and Oracle appliances (e.g., Exadata, ZDLRA), ensuring correct patch levels and configuration.
- You will also support infrastructure audits, security assessments, and compliance reporting, including system baseline validation., + Ambulate throughout an office
- Ambulate between several buildings
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
- Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 40 pounds
- Travel by land or air transportation up to 10%

Requirements
The following are the education and experience required for this position:
- 6+ years
- Bachelor’s in IT or related field
- Secret Security Clearance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Comp TIA Sec+, ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)
