Job description

The Facilities & IT Coordinator will assist the Operations Team with facility and information technology needs across the agency. The position will be required to work regularly scheduled evenings on Monday and Tuesday nights as well as weekends as needed. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Front Desk Receptionist for evening operating hours
  • Act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues reported by staff
  • Diagnose and resolve basic software, hardware, networking, printer, and peripheral equipment issues
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot and upgrade computer hardware, software, and peripheral components
  • Provide technical support through phone, email, remote assistance, and in-person
  • Serve as a full backup for the IT Manager, handling support requests in their absence
  • Respond to first tier facilities, maintenance, and operational requests in a timely manner
  • Assist with external and internal events set up and tear down
  • Provide A/V support for internal and external events
  • Coordinate service calls with vendors to address maintenance needs and ensure building systems and equipment remain functional
  • Perform light maintenance tasks, as needed
  • Order and maintain inventory of building supplies to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Organize agency physical resources, including lifting and moving objects weighing 20-40 lbs
  • Performs other tasks as required. This work may include, but is not limited to:
  • Interacting with clients and community members relative to assigned tasks;
  • Participating in departmental and organizational meetings and events;
  • Performing other assigned duties as necessary for the successful operation of the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience in facilities, operations, maintenance, or administrative support roles preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and general maintenance practices preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Ability Requirements:

  • Eagerness to provide excellent customer service to staff and clients
  • Willingness to learn current technical set up and systems
  • Ability to anticipate problems and willing to find solutions
  • Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced multi-priority environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to effectively plan work activities, schedules, priorities and utilization of resources
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of various teams
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse group of individuals
  • Can lift and carry objects up to 40 lbs as needed
  • CPR and AED certified (preferred)
  • Missouri Notary (preferred)
  • Fluent in a second language (preferred)
