Job description
Experteer Overview In this role you will design, develop, integrate and test software for a space payload unit, ensuring compliance with requirements. You’ll work on an agile team using C++, Linux and Python to deliver reliable embedded software. You’ll participate in peer reviews and collaborate with cross-functional Scrum teams to turn system requirements into working solutions. The position emphasizes self-management, teamwork, and prioritizing tasks to support space missions from Linthicum, MD. Compensation / Benefits * Design, development, integration, and testing of embedded software for a space payload unit * Conduct peer reviews of software and technical documents * Participate in cross-functional Scrum team initiatives * Analyze system requirements and translate them into software design and implementation * Debug and trace software, ensuring completion criteria are met * Collaborate with engineering specialists and prioritize tasks for Technical Leads * On-site work with a 9/80 schedule and no telecommuting * Assist with software configuration management and cross-compiling in Linux environments Tasks * Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of embedded real-time software experience or Master’s with 3 years (PhD with 1 year for Level 3) * U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI access (citizenship required) * Experience with Object Oriented C++ development * Ability to debug own code and understand existing code * Experience integrating software applications using logs/tools to verify operation * Experience in embedded software development and cross-compiling with GCC * Experience Linux development and software configuration management tools Key requirements * Total Rewards package * health insurance * life and disability insurance * savings plan * paid holidays * paid time off (PTO)
