Job description

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong Python experience to join our team. This role focuses on expanding test coverage for backend-heavy, API-driven, and database-integrated applications while supporting UI automated testing and day-to-day Scrum sprint deliverables. The ideal candidate will help build scalable test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and leverage modern AI tools (like Claude) to streamline testing workflows., * Framework & Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Python, Playwright, and Selenium for backend APIs, database workflows, and UI applications.

Backend & Integration Testing: Perform API, database (SQL queries), and system-to-system integration testing to ensure data accuracy and workflow reliability across core platforms.
Agile Delivery: Partner with Product Owners and Developers in refinement sessions to convert acceptance criteria into automated test cases. Execute functional and regression testing within Scrum sprints.
Quality Maintenance: Maintain the Git-based automation repository, troubleshoot pipeline failures, and write regression tests for customer-reported defects.

Requirements

Work Authorization: Applicants MUST be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role., * Required:

3+ years of professional software testing and automation experience.
Hands-on proficiency in Python and automated testing frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, PyTest, or similar).
Strong experience testing APIs (REST), microservices, and databases using SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL).
Working knowledge of Git, version control, and Agile/Scrum workflows.
Preferred:
Experience setting up or maintaining CI/CD automated test runs (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS).
Interest or experience using AI development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) for test script generation or test planning.
Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
