Job description
- Lead and manage multiple Google Cloud projects involving multiple teams for tier 1 enterprise and public sector organisations.
- Oversee the transition from sales discussions to actual project delivery, including initiation, planning resources, setting schedules, and managing project finances.
- Ensure projects are delivered effectively by tracking progress, reporting status, and planning for potential risks.
- Actively manage and resolve any project risks, issues, or actions to keep things on track and meet deadlines.
- Verify the quality of work delivered by both Google and partner teams against contract obligations.
- Manage project scope, making sure requirements are clear, prioritized, and aligned with work that might be done by Google Cloud Professional Services and/or partners.
- Maintain accurate project systems for forecasting resources and financials.
- Handle all tasks necessary to formally close out projects, including holding retrospectives to learn from the experience.
- Stakeholder management and negotiations throughout the project, including internal Google teams, clients, and partners.
- Project hygiene across all internal systems eg: CRM, Project planners, financial systems, etc
Requirements
- Certified in any one of the two certificates - Google Cloud Digital Leader (CDL) and Google AI Leader (GAIL)
- 10+ years of experience leading digital transformation projects for major enterprise and public sector organizations.
- 10+ years of experience leading projects in technical domains like Cloud Infrastructure, modernizing applications, and data analytics.
- 5+ years of experience delivering cloud migration projects.
- 10+ years of experience with agile, waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
- 5+ years of experience managing partners and/or global delivery centres.
- Experience working with diverse, globally distributed teams and clients, and collaborating with partners to deliver effective solutions.
- Ability to lead project kick-offs, including preparation, coordination, and presentation.
- Experience in program management, client service, or management consulting.
- Experience with Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) like Jira, Asana, or SmartSheet.
- Hands-on experience running concurrent projects including creating status reports and tracking project finances.
- Hands-on collaboration suite experience with Office360 or Google Workspace
- Ability to work from Google’s Customer Office on weekdays as required by the project.
Preferred qualifications:
- Cloud Architect Certification from any of the major cloud providers.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- SCRUM Master or SAFe certifications.
- Experience using data to make decisions and prioritize tasks.
- Good understanding of the overall Cloud market and what makes different Cloud offerings stand out.
Benefits & conditions
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $50.85/hour - $79.46/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
