System Configuration Software Requirements Analysis Warehouse Management Systems Performance Monitor Operational Systems

Job description

This critical role is responsible for the configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of our Blue Yonder Discrete Warehouse Management System (WMS), supporting both new client launch and continuous improvement efforts.

As the site’s subject matter expert, you will bridge the gap between operations and IT-leading system setup, coordinating improvements, driving testing and UAT, and ensuring the successful rollout and performance of the WMS solutions. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality logistics solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.

What are you goingto do?

Serve as the primary systems point-of-contact for internal teams, external clients, carriers, and partners. Lead system configuration requirements, testing, and deployment planning in alignment with operational readiness and global IT. Collaborate with project teams during client onboarding to define and implement system requirements. Support go-live activities and post-implementation stabilization with a strong focus on service quality. Analyze business and operational needs to design systemic solutions that optimize WMS and operational performance. Support WMS integrations and interactions with adjacent systems including automation (OSR), Order Management Systems (OMS), transportation management solutions, and labor productivity tools to ensure seamless end-to-end process flow.

Support the development and delivery of operational and system performance reporting, leveraging WMS data to provide insights on productivity, inventory accuracy, throughput, and system health. Drive documentation, training, and knowledge transfer for operations and key users. Log and monitor system issues using internal help desk tools, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis. Maintain a prioritized list of system tasks and coordinate with corporate IT to drive resolution. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance system functionality and user experience. Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels, from warehouse staff to senior leadership.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehousing or logistics, with a focus on WMS and operational systems. Demonstrated experience with Blue Yonder Discrete WMS is essential. Strong track record of success in system implementations and process improvement initiatives. Practical experience with supply chain processes and integrated logistics systems.

Skills & Competencies: Advanced understanding of WMS configuration, operations workflows, and IT integrations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders. Detail-oriented with exceptional documentation and organizational capabilities. Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, high-impact environments. A natural team player who thrives on collaboration and innovation.
