Job description

As a data architect lead in Enterprise Data Solutions, you’ll be a part of an enterprise team of data architects who are responsible for setting strategy and architecting solutions that ensure that data is a critical enterprise. You’ll establish quality throughout our data assets in partnership with the Data Governance & Privacy Office and the wider architecture community. You’ll design data models, data flow diagrams, and other artifacts that represent complex systems while additionally consulting on data requirements, design, analysis, and metadata management. You’ll partner with IT and the business on business case development, documenting processes, and data impact requirements. You’ll also consult on the planning, design, and implementation of on-premise and cloud-based data solutions utilizing enterprise-approved architecture patterns and graphical models.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 9 years of related work experience. Experience must include a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Architect, Solution Architect, Data Engineer, Data Base Administrator, Application Developer with a concentration in Data Structures.
  • {OR} Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering) and a minimum of 6 years of related work experience. Experience must include a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Architect, Solution Architect, Data Engineer, Data Base Administrator, Application Developer with a concentration in Data Structures.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of data modeling concepts and working knowledge of creating data strategies (transmission, storage, processing, and management of data)
  • Experience with various relational and NoSQL technologies
  • Exposure to big data, business intelligence, and visualization tools & technology
  • Exposure to JSON, YAML, and cloud tooling and technologies.
  • Experience working in both waterfall SDM and Agile environments as well as LEAN IT tools, capabilities, and mindset
