Job description
We are seeking passionate, energetic, and experienced STEM educators who love working with children and have strong technical backgrounds.
This position is ideal for instructors who enjoy teaching technology, coding, robotics, engineering, game development, and other STEAM-related subjects while being flexible enough to support multiple school sites when needed.
This position will primarily be based in Millbrae, with travel to support programs in:
- Millbrae
- Pacifica
- Brisbane
- San Mateo
- South San Francisco (SSF)
- Oakland, * Teach engaging Tech & STEAM enrichment classes for TK-8th grade students.
- Lead classrooms of approximately 20+ students while maintaining excellent classroom management.
- Support Program Managers with daily classroom operations.
- Develop engaging lesson plans and curriculum for the school year, holiday camps, and summer camps.
- Adapt lessons based on classroom needs, student abilities, and available technology.
- Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and equipment organization.
- Maintain all instructional materials and notify the office when supplies are needed.
- Travel to neighboring school sites to provide instructor coverage when necessary.
- Communicate professionally with parents, students, school staff, and fellow instructors.
- Participate in planning meetings and curriculum development.
- Help build strong relationships with partner schools and communities.
- Support operational excellence across all assigned school sites.
Requirements
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between sites are required.
We Are Looking For Candidates With Experience In:
- Robotics (VEX Robotics preferred; competition/team experience is a plus)
- LEGO Robotics
- 3D Modeling & 3D Printing
- E-Sports
- Game Design (Block Programming)
- Minecraft Modding
- Creative Coding
- Scratch / Block Programming
- Python
- JavaScript
- HTML & CSS
- STEAM / STEM Curriculum Development
- Engineering & Technology Education, * Minimum 2 years of experience teaching or tutoring children
- Extensive experience teaching STEM, Coding, Robotics, Technology, or Computer Science classes
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for working with children
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Reliable transportation
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Willingness to travel between school sites
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced educational environment
- Flexible schedule based on business needs
Preferred
- Experience teaching TK through 8th Grade
- Experience leading classrooms of 20+ students
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in:
- Computer Science
- Computer Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Education
- STEM-related Field
- Experience creating lesson plans and curriculum
- Experience coaching robotics or coding competitions, * Proven STEM teaching experience
- Outstanding classroom management abilities
- Strong leadership skills
- Passion for inspiring young learners
- Flexibility to support multiple locations
- Professionalism, reliability, and positive energy
