Job description

The Data Center Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing, and communicating the project schedule for a large-scale mission critical/data center construction project. This role will be embedded full-time on one data center project site and serve as a critical member of the project team, working closely with superintendents, project managers, owners, design teams, and trade partners to ensure project milestones and turnover requirements are achieved.

The ideal candidate possesses strong CPM scheduling expertise, understands complex MEP systems and commissioning activities, and has experience supporting fast-track construction projects with aggressive delivery schedules., * Own and maintain the project’s master CPM schedule throughout the life of the project.

  • Work full-time on-site with the project team to monitor progress, identify risks, and drive schedule performance.
  • Develop detailed baseline schedules, milestone schedules, recovery schedules, and what-if analyses.
  • Collaborate with project leadership to establish sequencing strategies for structural, architectural, MEP, startup, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Lead weekly scheduling meetings with project teams, owners, consultants, and trade partners.
  • Review subcontractor schedules and integrate them into the master project schedule.
  • Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule impacts, delays, constraints, and recovery opportunities.
  • Track schedule performance metrics and communicate schedule health to project leadership.
  • Assist project teams in developing pull-planning sessions, short-term look-ahead schedules, and milestone recovery plans.
  • Analyze labor loading, crew productivity, material procurement, long-lead equipment deliveries, and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate closely with MEP coordinators, VDC teams, commissioning agents, and field operations staff.
  • Generate schedule fragnet analyses and support time extension requests when necessary.
  • Produce executive-level schedule reports and dashboards for leadership and clients.
  • Conduct field walks regularly to verify installation progress and validate schedule updates.
  • Support startup, testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and turnover schedule requirements.
  • Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies before impacts occur.
  • Maintain documentation supporting schedule updates, delays, and progress reporting.
  • Understand, implement, and uphold Pogue procedures and processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of data center construction sequencing and project delivery.
  • Working knowledge of structural, architectural, civil, electrical, and mechanical building systems.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate critical path impacts.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and schedule accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach with project teams, owners, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Forward-thinking mindset with proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to identify schedule risks and drive corrective action.
  • Understanding of commissioning, startup, integrated systems testing, and turnover processes.

  • Power BI (preferred), * 3+ years of construction scheduling experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years supporting mission-critical, data center, industrial, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly technical projects preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining CPM schedules exceeding $50M in construction value.
  • Experience supporting commissioning-intensive projects strongly preferred., * OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site at a data center project.
  • Willingness to travel or temporarily relocate as project needs require.
  • Ability to navigate active construction sites safely.
  • Strong understanding of fast-track construction delivery methods.
  • Mission Critical or Data Center project experience strongly preferred.
