Data Scientist

• 2+ years of experience utilizing programming languages, including C++, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
• 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining scalable data stores that supply data in forms needed for business analysis
• Experience creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team
• Experience developing scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats, and supporting the project team to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experience with data engineering, including application or sof t war e development in a professional environment, or 3+ years of experience with data engineering, including application or sof t war e development in a professional environment, in lieu of a degree

• Experience working with Maven Smart Systems
• Experience working with Node.js and languages that transpile to JavaScript
• Experience with distributed data and computing tools such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka
• Experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
• Experience with data war ehousing, including AWS Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake
• Experience with advanced automation of sof t war e delivery, including Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, containerization such as Docker, and orchestration such as Kubernetes or EKS, aligned to DevSecOps practices

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
