Experteer Overview As an Integration & Automation Engineer at SEL, you will advance integration and automation features for our protection and control products. You’ll define specifications, validate systems, and troubleshoot customer issues to ensure reliable communication and control in power networks. You’ll mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product improvements and maintain SEL’s high standards. This role offers meaningful impact through solving real-world grid challenges and supporting utility customers. Compensation / Benefits * Maintain and grow technical expertise to enhance integration and automation features in SEL products * Define, develop, and analyze product specifications, functional tests, and validation processes * Diagnose customer-reported problems with integration and communication features and document issues for developers * Provide technical and market analysis to evaluate proposed products or enhancements * Mentor Associate Engineers and Technicians * Adhere to SEL Values, Principles of Operation and World Class Manufacturing principles * Perform other duties as assigned Tasks * B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent * Demonstrated experience with serial, Ethernet, and multiple communication protocols in electrical power systems * Typically 2+ years setup and configuration of a broad range of network devices and interfaces * Typically 2+ years experience at an electric utility, industrial plant, or engineering firm * Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers * Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills * Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities * Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Key requirements * Competitive pay * Employee-owned with ESOP * 401(k) options * Top-tier medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance * Paid holidays (10) * Vacation accrual and paid sick leave (9 days) and family/medical leave (90% pay)
