Job description

We are seeking an experienced SMT Technician to support the production and assembly of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). This role will be responsible for supporting Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes and equipment, troubleshooting issues, and identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain SMT production processes and equipment.
  • Program and operate SMT equipment, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens.
  • Assist with process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and production performance.
  • Develop and maintain solder stencil designs and coordinate stencil ordering.
  • Create, evaluate, and optimize reflow oven profiles.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of SMT process and equipment issues.
  • Work with SPI and AOI equipment to monitor and improve product quality.
  • Follow established quality standards and manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with production and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with PCBA manufacturing and SMT processes.
  • Experience programming and supporting SMT equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of solder stencil design and reflow oven profiling.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with SPI and AOI inspection equipment is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Additional Requirements Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or lawful Permanent Residents of the United States and able to meet applicable export control requirements.
