Job description

We are seeking an Application Developer (Java) to join our dynamic Fraud and Claims Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Core Java, Spring (Boot, Integration, MVC, Batch), Cassandra, and Kafka and a proven ability to design, develop, and maintain services that support fraud detection and claims processing., * Participate in design meetings and contribute to solution architecture for fraud and claims platforms.

  • Develop, test, and maintain Java-based services and integrations using Spring and related frameworks.
  • Implement messaging and streaming solutions using Kafka and MQ frameworks.
  • Design and optimize data access with Cassandra and relational databases.
  • Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to deliver features and resolve issues.
  • Apply TDD and CI practices with Maven, Git/Bitbucket, and JUnit.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Core Java and object-oriented programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, ORM, MVC, Integration, Batch, and microservices.
  • Experience building REST and SOAP services using JSON and XML within SOA patterns.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and related services.
  • Source control proficiency with Git or Bitbucket.
  • Build and test automation with Maven, JUnit, TDD, and CI pipelines.
  • NoSQL experience with Cassandra.
  • Experience with at least one RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka and MQ messaging frameworks.
  • Experience level: 5 to 8 years in relevant roles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in financial services fraud or claims domains.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and collaboration with distributed teams.

Benefits & conditions

  • Interview process: 1 to 2 rounds. Video required. Final in-person in Plano.
  • Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week in Addison, TX.
  • Glider ID verification will be required.
  • This role may convert to full-time. Candidates must not require sponsorship now or in the future.
