Software Engineer, Sensors, Platforms and Devices

We’re looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward., * Develop signal processing algorithms or firmware for health sensors.

• Enhance signal processing and ML algorithms in order to filter noise and ensure accurate, efficient processing of data.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering to ensure that firmware and algorithms are seamlessly integrated with the hardware architecture.
• Design, develop, implement, and test software components that allow real-time signal processing and filtering, noise reduction, as well as data processing.

Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.

Share Software Engineer, Sensors, Platforms and Devices, * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 2 years of experience with software development in Python.
• 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
• Experience in digital signal processing (DSP) algorithm development, implementation, and optimization.
• Experience in analyzing large-scale datasets using database queries and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, or R)., * Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in distributed Machine Learning and Machine Learning infrastructure, distributed systems and with Machine Learning algorithms at scale.
• Proficient in C/C++ with experience in developing and implementing firmware and DSP algorithms on SOCs.

We bring together the best of Google technologies and AI, health behavior science, and user-centered design to help users organize the health and wellness data, get insight from it, and take action toward their health goals. We do this with a suite of apps, services, and health wearables. We aim to make consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
