Job description
We’re looking for an experienced OutSystems Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise-grade applications on the OutSystems low-code platform. This is a remote opportunity supporting a direct Federal client.
In this role, you’ll pair deep technical expertise with strategic thinking - making sure our OutSystems solutions align with business goals while holding a high bar for scalability, security, and performance. You’ll be the technical anchor for delivery teams and a trusted advisor to stakeholders across business and IT.
What You’ll Do
Architecture & Design
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable OutSystems applications across Web, Mobile, and ODC environments.
- Design secure, high-performance solutions that align with enterprise target architecture, business objectives, and technical requirements.
- Design data models, business logic, and integration points within OutSystems and connected environments.
- Translate business requirements - including application resiliency needs - into clear architectural specifications.
Technical Leadership & Governance
- Lead solution design discussions and provide technical leadership to development teams.
- Establish development best practices and platform governance models, and safeguard the overall health and performance of the OutSystems platform.
- Mentor developers on OutSystems best practices, architectural patterns, design patterns, and coding standards.
- Guide teams on technology selection and standards.
Integration & Delivery
- Lead integration planning across systems, applications, and services.
- Drive the development of prototypes, proofs of concept, and full solution implementations.
- Apply hands-on experience integrating OutSystems with enterprise applications such as SAP, Salesforce, and Oracle.
- Own the full software development lifecycle - requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Evaluate business requirements and connect the dots across business, information, and technology to solve complex problems.
- Communicate a clear technical and architectural vision to ensure each solution is fit for purpose.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, business analysts, developers, and IT managers to keep solutions aligned with company goals., * OutSystems Architecture Specialist (ODC) - for professionals designing, reviewing, or validating application architectures.
- OutSystems Solution Architect - for those who design and oversee complex solution implementations.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications, including at least 3 years as a technical lead and system architect.
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications on OutSystems (or a comparable low-code platform), including building business logic via APIs.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying large, scalable production applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with the Agile SCRUM development methodology.
- Knowledge of relational data modeling principles, hands-on experience building database objects with E-R modeling tools, and a solid grasp of UI/UX design principles.
