Training Data Artificial Intelligence Data Analysis Python (Programming Language) Machine Learning Natural Language Processing Data Driven Tests Systems Integration Prompt Engineering Information Technology

Job description

This role is a new addition to the Digital Solutions organization, driven by the WATT Reorg, to enhance the team’s capabilities in artificial intelligence. The position will focus on applying advanced prompt engineering techniques to develop and refine AI-driven digital solutions within the Grid Technologies business area. To achieve this, the role is structured around three core areas: advanced prompt engineering to design and control AI language model outputs, including agentic systems; data-driven analysis to evaluate and improve AI system performance; and acting as a key liaison in cross-functional collaboration to ensure AI solutions meet business and user requirements. Given the focus on prompt engineering and model performance, the ideal candidate will possess practical experience as an Experienced Professional (P2) with a strong foundation in machine learning, Python, and Natural Language Processing. The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with product and design teams is essential.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Crafting, refining, and optimizing AI prompts using advanced NLP techniques to produce accurate, relevant, and engaging outputs
  • Architecting and implementing prompt engineering and agentic AI strategies to guide model behavior and automate complex workflows
  • Applying machine learning methods, including training data curation and hyperparameter tuning, to continuously improve AI model performance
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with data scientists, product managers, and UX partners to translate business needs into effective AI solutions
  • Developing and maintaining documentation, standards, and best practices for prompt engineering, model configuration, and system integration
  • Analyzing model performance through data exploration, metrics, and visualization to evaluate effectiveness and communicate insights to stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics, or a related technical field
  • 2 or more years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or a closely related AI discipline. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technical expertise in real-world, production, or applied research environments
