Job description

As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Participating in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, code reviews, testing, and deployments as an active member of an Agile team.
  • Developing software solutions and components based on internal and external customer requirements while ensuring high-quality deliverables through unit testing, automation, and performance optimization.
  • Supporting and documenting technical applications, proprietary coding content, and contributing to the future design and development of medical coding software pathways.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving escalated internal customer support issues while recommending and evaluating tools that prepare the organization for future technologies.
  • Continuously expanding technical expertise through training and development opportunities while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and remote teams., Onboarding Requirement: To improve the onboarding experience, you will have an opportunity to meet with your manager and other new employees as part of the Solventum new employee orientation. As a result, new employees hired for this position will be required to travel to a designated company location for on-site onboarding during their initial days of employment. Travel arrangements and related expenses will be coordinated and paid for by the company in accordance with its travel policy. Applies to new hires with a start date of October 1st 2025 or later.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and 2 years of software development experience, * High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of six (6) years of software development experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree requirement, * Two (2) years of development experience with object-oriented programming, such as C#, Java, C, C++, or Python (most development is in C#).
  • Experience with Web Services development.
  • Experience with Unit Test Frameworks (UI and Backend testing).

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Two (2) years of front-end experience with Angular, React, or similar technology.
  • Experience in UI/UX design and best practices.
  • Experience with Web Servers (IIS, Apache Tomcat).
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and TFS.
  • Experience with database technologies such as MySQL and Oracle.
  • Experience with AWS cloud development.
  • Ability to work with remote (off-site) team members.

Benefits & conditions

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $85,200 - $117,150, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
