Job description

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Operations Manager to lead and optimize large-scale IT operations supporting mission-critical enterprise environments. The ideal candidate is a proven technology leader with experience managing complex IT service delivery organizations, driving operational excellence, and partnering with government and enterprise stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business and mission requirements into effective operational strategies while leading multidisciplinary teams responsible for enterprise service delivery, infrastructure operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Provide strategic oversight, drive technical innovation and modernization, ensure the stability and security of enterprise systems, and effectively lead technical teams in a complex, heterogeneous environment
  • Manage daily operational activities while ensuring service reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a key operational liaison with government customers, executive stakeholders, technical leaders, business partners, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies focused on service excellence, scalability, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee Tier 0, Tier 1, and Tier 2 Service Desk operations, field services, endpoint engineering, systems administration, network operations, cybersecurity operations, storage, backup, collaboration tools, and enterprise monitoring.
  • Drive ITIL-based service management practices, including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Asset, Configuration, and Service Quality Management.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, operational dashboards, and performance metrics to ensure mission success.
  • Manage operational risks, identify improvement opportunities, and coordinate timely resolution of production issues.
  • Lead geographically distributed teams, technical managers, vendors, and subcontractor partners.
  • Support resource planning, budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and operational performance management.
  • Provide executive-level reporting, briefings, and recommendations to senior leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Ensure successful delivery of contract requirements, operational milestones, and customer commitments.

Requirements

  • 12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience
  • 12+ years of experience managing enterprise IT operations, technology programs, or federal IT contracts.
  • At least five years of experience leading technical engineering managers, leads, and teams responsible for all IT infrastructure and cybersecurity services in a Federal organization supporting at least 2000 users
  • Proven experience leading large-scale IT service delivery organizations supporting enterprise users.
  • Strong background managing End User Services, Infrastructure Operations, and enterprise technology environments.
  • Experience with ITIL service management processes and operational improvement methodologies.
  • Experience managing technical teams, vendors, subcontractors, and multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior government and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification or equivalent project/program management experience preferred.

  • ITIL certification or related service management credentials.
  • Experience managing enterprise operations within a government contracting environment.

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
