IT Business Analyst / Power BI Developer

IT Business Analyst / Power BI Developer builds enterprise KPI dashboards and reporting solutions for our management company. This role will connect data from multiple SaaS-based systems, SQL databases, and operational platforms to improve visibility, reporting accuracy, and data-driven decision making across the organization., Business Intelligence & Dashboards:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and KPI tracking tools.
• Create executive, regional, department, and operational dashboards that provide enterprise-wide visibility.
• Build data models, DAX measures, Power Query transformations, and visualizations that are accurate and easy to use.
• Develop self-service reporting solutions that reduce manual reporting and improve access to information.

Data Integration & SQL Reporting:

• Connect and integrate data from multiple SaaS platforms, SQL databases, APIs, spreadsheets, and third-party systems.
• Write and maintain SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and reporting datasets.
• Support ETL processes, data transformations, data validation, and reconciliation efforts.
• Troubleshoot data quality, refresh, performance, and integration issues.

Business Analysis & Requirements:

• Meet with stakeholders to define reporting needs, business requirements, KPIs, and data definitions.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, reports, dashboards, and data models.
• Document reporting logic, data sources, workflows, and business rules.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve reporting consistency.

Enterprise Reporting & Governance:

• Help establish reporting standards, dashboard design standards, and data governance practices.
• Partner with leaders across departments to improve visibility into operational and financial performance.
• Support ongoing improvements to enterprise reporting architecture and analytics capabilities.
• Provide training, documentation, and support for business users.

The ideal candidate has strong business analysis skills, hands-on Power BI development experience, SQL database knowledge, and the ability to translate business needs into practical reporting and analytics solutions., * Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, Power BI development, business analysis, or similar roles.
• Experience building Power BI dashboards and reports for business leaders.
• Experience integrating data from multiple SaaS applications or operational systems.
• Strong SQL development and database reporting experience.
• Experience gathering requirements and working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

• Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• SQL Server, SQL queries, views, and reporting datasets.
• Data integration, ETL concepts, APIs, and data transformation.
• Advanced Excel, data validation, dashboard design, and reporting automation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Sage Intacct, Yardi, CRM platforms, HRIS, payroll, clinical, property management, or other SaaS-based business systems.
• Experience in a management company, senior living, healthcare, real estate, hospitality, or multi-location operating environment.
• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification or related BI/data certifications., * Bachelor’s (Required), * Business intelligence: 3 years (Required)
