Job description
Elevate Technology Solutions is seeking a Reliability Engineer II to support a federal cloud operations program. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, resiliency, and operational health of enterprise cloud platforms and services. The ideal candidate will have experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), cloud operations, monitoring, incident response, and automation within secure cloud environments., * Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of cloud infrastructure and services.
- Support monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response activities across production environments.
- Develop and maintain operational standards, system documentation, and architecture diagrams.
- Implement and validate monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and application performance issues.
- Analyze operational metrics, including MTTR and MTTF, to improve platform reliability.
- Partner with DevSecOps, cloud engineering, and operations teams to automate operational processes and improve system resiliency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance platform stability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or cloud operations.
- Experience supporting production cloud environments and enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure, networking, and distributed systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Certifications
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification required.
- One or more cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud) required., * Experience supporting DoD or other federal cloud modernization programs.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms, incident management, and operational dashboards.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerized environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in secure or classified environments.
